My beloved Transylvania, the part of Romania where I live, is so full of hidden treasures. Lots of villages where time seems to stop- where the fast pace of modern life returns to a slower, more in tune with nature`s rhythm way of life. Off the main road, you find villages with fortified churches, built by the Transylvanian Saxons between the 12th & 16th centuries. These historical monuments which are part of the UNESCO heritage are, in my opinion, a must see if one ever chooses to visit Transylvania. One of these monuments is the Biertan Fortified Church- so imagine how happy I was when Maria & Gabi decided to take their after wedding photos there. It was the place where he proposed to her, so it had a special place in their hearts. I had been to Biertan before, and I knew it was a very beautiful place. The time spent with them was relaxed & I simply love the photos!
